A microbiologist with expertise in antimicrobial resistance, environmental detection of resistance genes, and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria. Research also extends to drug repurposing and discovery for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, with emphasis on translational applications relevant to public health and health-care settings.
